Giving Back

Nancy Dunlop Cawdrey heard Caeli Quinn, Executive Director of Climate Ride, speak at a Women’s Gathering and was inspired by her concept: a call to action, engaging people to cycle with purpose in raising awareness and money for addressing climate change. Founding this homegrown Whitefish non-profit, Climate Ride has only five employees and has become the single largest donor to the Glacier Conservancy.  Climate Ride is committed to exposing cycling groups to America’s wild places.

A key component of this exhibit is a call to action to protect our wild places. This call challenges us to step up regarding climate change and habitat destruction. We have partnered with a nonprofit organization called Climate Ride.

Based in Whitefish, Montana, they organize biking and hiking events to bring people and nature together under the premise of climate change to generate a greater appreciation of our natural surroundings. For every sale of any of the Forever Glacier products, we are donating 5% directly to Climate Ride. We then can choose what beneficiaries will receive these funds.

Climate Ride creates opportunities for people concerned about the welfare of our planet to engage with their communities using outdoor adventures as a means to advocate and fundraise. We are creating a movement that is uniquely positive, life-affirming, and transformational. Climate Ride participants take on a challenge much bigger than themselves and share their journey with their personal networks helping to amplify support for the cause. Climate Ride is the only organization taking this approach in the environmental sector and they are proud to be a force for helping to protect the spectacular mountains, golden grasslands, and stunning wildflowers of Glacier National Park. Many folks on Climate Ride's staff are fortunate to call Montana home and to visit Glacier's ancient temperate forests on the Western Slope of the Continental Divide. Climate Ride grants have gone to support clean energy, conservation, and bicycling efforts in Glacier National Park.
